NABERS is a performance-based rating system for existing buildings. NABERS rates a building on the basis of its measured operational impacts on the environment, and provides a simple indication of how well you are managing these environmental impacts compared with your peers and neighbours.
NABERS now incorporates the Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR).

NABERS is a national initiative managed by the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change.

the NABERS conference series
May 2008 sees the hosting of three conferences in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth designed to launch the new suite of NABERS tools - NABERS Energy and Water for hotels and retail premises, as well as the Indoor Environment and Waste tools for office buildings.
