NABERS HOME Rating Help
Welcome
The NABERS HOME Rating rates the energy and water use of Australian homes from
0 to 5 stars, with 2.5 stars reflecting average performance, and 5 stars
representing an outstanding home.
The NABERS HOME Rating does not currently apply to apartments, or other
dwellings where services (such as pools, gyms, underground car parks) are
shared or utilities are not separately metered. There are plans to include
these housing types in the future.
Your postcode is used to determine your climate zone, so that your rating can
be adjusted to account for climate effects. This means that homes around
Australia can be equally compared. For a list of postcodes, go to
www.australiapost.com.au
Household Info
Enter the number of people who used your home as a place to sleep during the
year. Enter each person as 1, including infants. If a person did not stay in
the house for the whole year, they should be entered as a fraction. For
instance, if a person stayed only on weekends, they would be entered as 0.25 (2
days out of 7). If a baby was born half way through the year, they would be
entered as 0.5 (6 months out of 12).
If your home was unoccupied for a week or more during the year, for example if
you were on holidays, enter this number. The home is considered occupied if one
person is home.
