In-home energy and water audit professionals and ratings themselves are not presently accredited through NABERS. Accreditation is currently offered through the NABERS program for commercial buildings only.

Opportunities for national accreditation of NABERS auditors and ratings are currently being reviewed. If you are a council or other organisation wishing to offer NABERS household audits to residents, please contact the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water on 02 9995 6314 to discuss options.

Accreditation of auditors and audit procedures ensure nationally-consistent procedures and replicable rating results. Consistent results are attractive to organisations wishing to offer unique products and services to NABERS Rating recipients, such as green home loans for 5 star homes.
