Assessor Course Assessment
Individuals are required to successfully complete the theoretical training and examination component in order to qualify as a Trainee Accredited Assessor. On successful completion of the practical training component the trainee will qualify as an Accredited Assessor.
NABERS Theory Examination
Trainees will be tested and must prove their ability to perform rating applications. The assessment will consist of a multiple choice quiz on day two of the training course (trainees should allow for 2 hours to read materials on the completion of day one), and a take home examination to be completed within four weeks of the training. Trainees should set aside 2-4 days after the training to complete the exam. Trainees also attending the Retail module will be required to complete an additional take home examination within five weeks of their training session. Trainees should be able to complete the exam within 3-5 hours.
Practical Training - the Supervised Rating
Training and assessment does not end with the formal training course, the first two rating applications completed by a Trainee Accredited Assessor must be supervised, by an auditor or experienced assessor of the scheme. The Trainee Assessor will be graded by the NABERS Supervisor and must pass one of their two supervised ratings to qualify as an Accredited Assessor. The cost of this mentoring is included in the training fee of $2200.
